ISBN 978-80-7526-404-6 The monograph is dedicated to approaches to assessing the intensity of population reproduction in Russia and its regions and methods of its management. Various indicators are proposed, that objectively characterize the potential of demographic reproduction in different time periods, and methods for their evaluation are given. The approaches are considered to determining the most effective activities of social and economic policy, that contribute the population of Russia and its regions to shift from depopulation to expanded reproduction, which are based on econometric methods of modelling the dynamics of reproduction intensity indicators in changing living conditions. The models for predicting age-specific fertility and mortality rates are introduced, which can be used to obtain predictions of reproduction rates. The possibility of reducing mortality in Russia is estimated on the basis of improving the efficiency of the health care system, taking into account international experience in organizing and funding such systems.
